How to read this schedule
This schedule sets VAYRO's retention rules. Each period starts at the stated event, not when you view this page. Some operations require the operator's intervention. These periods cover data under VAYRO's control, with the legal exceptions below. Verification of execution is in progress during testing; publication does not mean every deletion is automated.
Account, profile and conversations
Account information, preferences, Likes, WoWs, matches, messages and dates remain necessary while the account is in use. After a deletion request is verified, removal from active systems must finish within 7 days. Initially hiding a profile is not complete deletion. Pausing Dating, blocking, uninstalling or unmatching does not delete the account. Any legally retained information is isolated and does not make the profile visible.
Photos, voice and abandoned uploads
Photos and voice introductions are retained while published. After confirmed removal or verified account deletion, active copies under VAYRO's control are removed within 7 days, except for legal retention. Abandoned files not referenced by retained content must be deleted within 30 days of upload. Previously issued links may expire separately, and copies saved by other people cannot be recalled.
Availability statuses: 24 hours
Free now, Free tonight and Free this weekend stay visible for 24 hours after an explicit save. Expiration removes the announcement from available profiles; it does not delete the account or automatically renew the status. Related technical fields may remain until replaced or until account deletion.
Verification selfie and photo ID
Documents are private and restricted to manual review. The current technical cycle removes active copies after a decision or cancellation, or during hourly cleanup after the request expires at 7 days. This cycle must be reconciled with the legal duty to retain information used to decide about a person for at least one year when that duty applies. This review must be completed before the process is publicly launched. VAYRO therefore does not present the 7-day cycle as a guarantee that every part of a decision is erased. Do not email identity documents.
Verification access logs and decisions
Ordinary technical access logs currently follow a 90-day cycle after each event; the approved result stays linked to the account. Information used to make a decision follows the legal minimum of one year after the decision where section 11 of Québec's private-sector privacy law applies. Alignment of current cleanup with this distinction must be verified before public launch of this process.
Support: 90 days after closure
Ordinary support emails and attachments under VAYRO's control are retained during handling, then for a maximum of 90 days after closure. Duplicates, unnecessary attachments and trash follow this rule too. A message involving an incident or legal duty is limited to useful information and kept in the appropriate case.
Rights requests: minimal evidence for 12 months
Minimal evidence that an access, correction or deletion request was handled may be retained for 12 months after closure to document the response. It contains only the date, request type, proportionate verification method, actions and result. Identity documents and unnecessary attachments are not copied into it. Evidence is erased at the deadline unless a documented legal duty applies.
Reports, decisions and restrictions
An ordinary report without a decision about a member is retained during review, then for at most 90 days after closure. Where information was used to decide about a person, the legal minimum of one year after decision applies when required. The necessity of minimal information for an active restriction is reviewed every 90 days. These rules do not authorize systematic retention of all conversations.
Logs and backups managed by VAYRO
Copies of logs and errors directly managed by VAYRO are kept for at most 90 days after the event, less when sufficient. If VAYRO creates its own backups, they must expire within 30 days of creation. Before a restoration returns to service, deletions since the backup must be reapplied. These rules do not add live location tracking.
Incident register: at least 5 years
The privacy incident register is retained for at least 5 years after the date or period when VAYRO learns of the incident. It contains required follow-up information and has restricted access. It is not used to copy all messages or identity documents. The need to keep information is reassessed at the legal deadline.
Providers, logs and backups
Logs, security copies and the separate duties of Supabase, Expo, Microsoft and hosting or distribution services depend on their contracts and plans. How long a log can be viewed does not prove physical erasure. Not all copies are erased instantly with the active account. VAYRO does not promise one physical erasure deadline for all providers; support can explain documented information and cycles for a request.
Legal exceptions and destruction
A legal duty, valid preservation request or ongoing proceeding may require targeted retention. The reason, categories, access and review date are recorded; necessity is reviewed at least every 90 days. Data is destroyed when the reason and applicable periods end. Legal retention duties take priority over shorter ordinary periods. An exception does not keep a profile in discovery. Removing a name alone does not anonymize data.
Questions about your data?
Contact the person responsible for personal information protection at xkwaoconker@hotmail.com. You can ask which categories remain, why and until when, subject to legal limits.
